Cash points can be limited in Brussels, and currency exchange offices often have poor rates. Whenever possible, withdraw cash directly from ATMs. Brussels uses euros (€), so you might want to withdraw euros before arriving, or use the cashpoints available at train stations or the airport when you arrive.

If you’re heading to the city center, the train is your best bet—it's faster (about 18 minutes) and much cheaper (€10) compared to a taxi (€50).
It’s best to stay in the city center, close to Grand Place and Central Station. Some neighborhoods like Midi and North (near train stations) can be less appealing, so prioritize central areas for a more enjoyable stay.
With a ticket to Brussels, you can travel between any train station within the city for free. For example, if you arrive at Brussels South/Midi station, you can easily catch a train to Central Station (just a 2-minute ride).
Brussels is a food lover’s paradise, offering a variety of sweet and savory treats. Most, if not all, chocolates here contain traces of nuts, so be mindful of your allergies and communicate them clearly when dining out.
